Looking for recommendation for a 6 string alnico pup with a lot of high mids. Output-wise, medium to high gain is what I'm looking for.

Bare Knuckle Rebel Yell for sure! Probably the tightest alnico pickup I've tried, great note definition/articulation, and still medium-hot :yesway:

    I'll second this.

    Or the Suhr Aldrich.
How does it compare to other BKPs in terms of tightness and attack?

    +1 on the rebel yell.

I’ve got a set in my PRS and they are great. They cover a lot of ground genre wise and can absolutely stay tight for metal.

The only other BKP bridge models I have any real experience with are the A-Bomb and C-Pig, but the Rebel Yell is the tightest and lowest output of the bunch. It's supposed to be like an underwound A-Bomb, which I think is an accurate description. As for attack and aggression, it keeps up pretty well with the Warpig, just with a different voicing overall. Much more of a snarly hot-rodded PAF sort of thing. It also needs a stronger picking hand to get it there, but that's good for a range of other sounds besides brÜtalz.

rebel yell is tighter than the cpig/blackhawk/impulse/black dog/stockholm/abomb/jugg, slightly more than the holy diver, or cold sweat, less tight than aftermath or painkiller

I'd say the JB, or a JB with a roughcast magnet.

As much as the BKP Painkiller is an amazing pickup with lovely high-mids and amazing tightness it is ceramic and is asking for alnico.

JB or BKP Rebel as said.

The Carvin M22SD has a lot of upper mids, but may be a bit hotter than you're looking for.

They're not still made, but you can find them used on Reverb/Ebay pretty regularly.
